The Grand Canal, Venice, Italy

In September/October 2021 I spent a month in Venice. This is an oil sketch from my previous trip to Venice in 2019. Picture here is Santa Maria della Salute at the mouth of the Grand Canal. Soon I will update with a paint sketch of the Grand Canal from one of my favorite views, standing on the Accademia bridge. A very busy bridge to paint from, but I simply get lost in my work. Just love this peaceful view.
